Job Description
As the Plant Environmental, Health & Safety Manager at our Kansas City, KS plant, you will report to the Site Environmental Health and Safety Manager and partner with employees and leaders to build and sustain a strong safety culture. You will help prevent workplace injuries and illnesses by implementing occupational safety and health standards, delivering effective safety training, and developing programs that proactively identify and eliminate workplace hazards. In this role, you will lead site environmental programs, co‑chair the Natural Resource Conservation Center of Excellence, and supervise shift EHS Technicians. You will take an active role in managing workplace health, safety, and environmental risks and ensuring the facility remains compliant with all applicable regulations. You will also work cross‑functionally with Engineering and the Autonomous Maintenance Center of Excellence to review operations, share insights, and drive improvements that reduce people safety and environmental risks across the site. - Work with the Site EHS Manager to serve as a technical resource for plant safety and environmental compliance. Process Management
- Ensure accurate and timely EHS recordkeeping, document management, and case management. Prepare, maintain, and submit required records and reports to internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies. Leadership
- Partner across departments to identify hazards and risks, and ensure actions are taken to mitigate or eliminate them. Lead, coordinate, and participate in EHS performance improvement initiatives. Delivering Success
