Concrete Strategies Position Overview Concrete Strategies is seeking a strategic and field-connected leader to serve as Safety Performance & Continuous Improvement Manager. This role is responsible for driving safety performance across the organization through ownership of incident management, claims alignment, continuous improvement, and innovation. This position serves as the central authority for incident quality, safety performance metrics, and standardization of safety systems across the organization. You will connect field operations, safety systems, and external partnerships-ensuring that data, field feedback, and industry advancements translate into measurable improvements in safety, efficiency, and risk reduction. efforts nationwide, supports preconstruction risk planning, oversees specialty operations (shop, fleet, and mobile mechanics), and drives company-wide safety initiatives, training alignment, and workforce engagement. Key Responsibilities Safety Performance & Incident Management
  • Lead and standardize the incident management process from initial report through final approval
  • Serve as subject matter expert for Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Support case management and coordinate with medical providers and insurance partners
  • Partner with SVP of Insurance to improve claim outcomes and reduce exposure
  • Analyze claim trends and identify recurring risk drivers
  • Develop and manage safety KPIs and drive corrective actions
  • Standardize processes and performance expectations across regions Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Drive continuous improvement using incident data and field feedback
  • Lead safety innovation efforts and field trials
  • Build partnerships with vendors and industry leaders
  • Prioritize innovation based on risk exposure and operational needs

  • Conduct readiness assessments and manage corrective actions
  • Lead audits, inspections, and site visits

  • Review safety requirements and identify high-risk scopes
  • Partner with Operations and Project Management
  • Maintain approximately 20% field involvement Training, Systems & Knowledge Management
  • Partner with Training Department on onboarding and toolbox talks
  • Evaluate training effectiveness
  • Maintain best practices library
  • Support Safety Management System (SMS) integration Specialty Operations Oversight
  • Oversee shop, fleet, and mobile mechanic safety programs
  • Develop procedures for specialty operations
  • Serve as SME for general industry safety Organizational Alignment & Engagement
  • Support Regional Safety Directors
  • Participate in workforce engagement initiatives
  • Lead company-wide safety campaigns Qualifications
  • 5+ years of construction or general industry safety experience
  • Strong incident management and RCA experience
  • Experience supporting claims and insurance coordination
  • Experience with SMS and safety data platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead change and influence teams
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers' compensation
  • OSHA VPP
    experience preferred
