Job Description

EHS Supervisor
Interfor
DeQuincy, Louisiana When you join our team as a EHS Supervisor, you will lead the implementation and management of safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Serving as the site's primary EHS resource, this role oversees training, inspections, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives to foster a safe and sustainable work environment. This posting is for an existing vacancy. What You'll Do Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to safe work practices.
Manage and evaluate safety programs (e.g., lockout/tagout, mobile equipment, contractor safety).
Lead EHS training, including orientations, certifications, and compliance programs.
Conduct safety and environmental audits, inspections, and industrial hygiene monitoring.
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and track corrective actions.
Maintain accurate EHS records, permits, and ensure timely regulatory reporting.
Support and coordinate Safety Committee functions and emergency preparedness.
Administer environmental programs including waste, stormwater, air permits, and sustainability.
Stay current on regulations and drive continuous improvement initiatives. What You Offer 5+ years of EHS experience, ideally in industrial manufacturing
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
CSP or equivalent certification preferred
Works effectively both independently and in team settings
Strong time management and organizational abilities
Clear and professional communicator with internal and external stakeholders
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision
