Food Safety Managers are responsible for supervising assigned stations for an entire shift and may be assigned to open or close the restaurant in the absence of a shift manager; following established opening and closing procedures.
Food Safety Manager Responsibilities include:
Identify, diagnose, and work with leadership to help resolve Restaurant level food safety risks Lead by example by consistently and actively practicing food safety process and procedures Be proactive and reactive where necessary to avoid and/or remedy food safety issues as you encounter them Mentor and coach fellow team members about the importance of practicing food safety procedures Consistently be aware and look out for existing or potential food safety violations during your shifts including, but not limited to the following: o AHA chicken timers always being used o Cool-down process being followed o Labels on all food related items o Use-first clips used properly for raw chicken o Temperatures of refrigerators and walk-ins o Proper hand washing and hygiene o Appropriate use of gloves and changing of gloves in between tasks Conduct periodic food safety audits such as eRQA, SAFE, and other occasional food safety related walk-throughs and spot checks Send weekly update report on SAFE & eRQA findings to your assigned Director to ensure any food safety issues or successes reach the appropriate people General Management Responsibilities include: Insures that Team Members follow recipes and read tickets to accurately prepare all orders. Insures that Team Members are extremely accurate with weights and measurements for all recipe items. Insures that Team Members work at a pace to maintain restaurant's established speed of service guidelines. Insures that workstations are clean at all times. Insures that cashiers follow cash handling procedures at all times. Executes proper security and cash handling and control procedures and holds cashiers accountable to adhering to policies and procedures. Insures that Team Members monitor dining room, restroom, parking lot and overall facility cleanliness. Perform any of the tasks above as needed throughout shift. Addresses guest issues that may arise; consults with management regarding complex issues. Maintains a positive working relationship and treats all employees with respect while providing them with direction and feedback. Communicates employee performance and policy/procedure violations to management for appropriate handling. Strictly adheres to all Company policies and procedures. REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 18+ years old Previous leadership experience an asset Chick-fil-A, Inc., Founder S.
