Safety Manager

Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here A leading national infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Manager (Transportation) to lead transportation projects throughout the DMV area. This position plays a critical role in promoting a world-class safety culture, ensuring full compliance with OSHA and company safety standards, and driving the organization's goal of an Incident and Injury-Free workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with field and project management teams to implement and reinforce safety programs, policies, and initiatives. Conduct site visits, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Lead safety meetings, training sessions, and incident investigations; assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions. Review subcontractor safety programs and verify adherence to project safety requirements. Support project start-ups and kick-off meetings by developing and communicating site-specific safety expectations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction safety, preferably within heavy civil or transportation projects. Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, or CUSP strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization. Willingness to travel throughout the DMV region as required.

Compensation & Benefits:
