Valid Driver's License; ability to maintain OSHA and safety compliance standards The Opportunity Florence Cement Company is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to oversee and strengthen the company's safety programs across active construction projects. In this role, you will evaluate current safety practices, implement improvements, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations. You will work closely with leadership, project teams, and HR to support safe work practices, coordinate safety training, and respond to incidents while maintaining accurate reporting and documentation. This role is essential to maintaining a strong safety culture across the organization. How You Will Make an Impact Evaluate and update company safety programs, policies, and procedures. Communicate safety program needs and recommended improvements to company leadership. Develop and implement safety programs to address identified risks and operational needs. Support HR during employee onboarding to ensure proper safety training and PPE requirements are met. Visit project sites to identify hazardous conditions and evaluate safe work practices. Document jobsite observations and provide feedback to promote safe work practices. Respond to safety-related incidents and prepare detailed documentation. Coordinate insurance reporting and required documentation related to incidents. Investigate accidents to determine root causes, contributing factors, and corrective actions. Work with insurance agencies and captive representatives to support risk control and claims management strategies. Review and investigate property damage reports involving public, private, or utility property. Conduct and organize annual safety training and company safety meetings. Maintain OSHA records, logs, and other required safety documentation. Assist with workers' compensation and general liability cases. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations and reporting requirements. Monitor updates to safety regulations and implement necessary changes. Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum of two years of relevant safety experience (5-10 years preferred). Bachelor's degree in occupational or industrial safety/health preferred with construction industry experience; equivalent experience may be considered. Knowledge of construction safety fundamentals, accident prevention, and occupational injury management. Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis. Strong knowledge of MIOSHA and DOT safety standards. Ability to work independently with accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate and implement safety procedures effectively with employees. Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
