Job Description

Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) — Federal Construction We are looking for a construction safety advisor for an immediate hire based on qualifications to join our well-established team. The site location is Iron Mountain, MI . We need someone who can create our safety management system and establish policies and procedures that comply with all safety regulations. This role requires on-site full-time, every day, and availability for early starts, shutdowns, and occasional off-hours work. Applicant will also ensure safety standards are maintained and documented, and issues are resolved according to safety guidelines. Compensation:
$90,000 - $110,000
Responsibilities:
Develop and conduct emergency response plans, workplace safety programs, construction safety policies, and job-site hazard analyses Distribute safety reprimands and corrective action recommendations when safety concerns are present Lead incident and injury evaluations and investigate job-site safety reports Communicate with construction managers and project managers to make sure all potential risk management and safety issues are addressed Perform construction site risk assessments, safety audits, and safety meetings Lead construction health and safety training programs, including new hire safety orientation
Qualifications:
Excellent project management, interpersonal, and communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential Current CPR certification is required Certification in OSHA 30 is required and
OSHA 500/510
