Day Shift | 07:00 - 18:00 Project Scope This project supports early-phase work at an operational Amazon facility in Lansing, MI. The Safety Manager will oversee preliminary activities associated with electrical conduit installation and the installation of conveyor belt and material handling systems. The role requires a strong on-site safety presence to ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures within an active operational environment. The Safety Manager will work closely with project leadership, contractors, and site personnel to identify hazards, enforce safety protocols, and maintain a safe worksite throughout the duration of the project. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety with 3+ years of experience CSP or CHST certification with 5+ years of experience

with 7+ years of experience Additional Requirements Own laptop or tablet for reporting and documentation Possession of 3 personal LOTO tags Ability to work extended hours in an active industrial environment Key Responsibilities Oversee and enforce site-specific safety policies and procedures Monitor electrical safety practices and LOTO compliance Conduct daily safety walks, audits, and job hazard analyses Support safe installation of electrical conduit and conveyor systems Coordinate with contractors and site leadership to mitigate risks Document incidents, near misses, and corrective actions Ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety standards Skills Electrical safety Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) OSHA compliance Hazard identification Job hazard analysis (JHA) Field safety leadership Communication and reporting Knowledge Base This role requires hands-on knowledge of construction and industrial safety within live operational facilities. The Safety Manager must be well-versed in OSHA regulations, electrical safety best practices, LOTO procedures, and risk mitigation strategies related to conveyor systems and electrical infrastructure projects.
