Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Officer to champion safety standards across our construction projects. In this vital role, you will oversee occupational health and safety protocols, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and foster a culture of safety awareness on construction sites. Your expertise will help prevent accidents, manage risks, and promote a secure working environment for all team members. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead safety initiatives that directly impact project success and worker well-being. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards related to construction activities and ensure adherence to safety policies. Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies to minimize workplace incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA, Workers' Compensation, and other relevant regulations. Lead safety training sessions for construction personnel, emphasizing occupational health, hazard recognition, and emergency procedures. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, and compliance documentation using construction management software. Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into construction management plans from inception through completion. Respond promptly to safety incidents or violations, coordinating investigations and corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Skills Strong knowledge of risk management principles within construction environments. Expertise in occupational health practices specific to construction sites. Familiarity with NEC standards, OSHA regulations, Workers' Compensation policies, and compliance management practices. Experience in construction management software for tracking safety metrics and documentation. Proven ability to conduct thorough site inspections and enforce safety protocols effectively. Excellent communication skills for delivering training sessions and liaising with diverse teams. Construction site experience with a solid understanding of construction management processes and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) best practices.
