Job Description

Job Title:
Safety Director Job Description The Safety Manager will lead and oversee all safety, health, and environmental (HSE) programs across refinery projects, heavy industrial, and power projects, including capital construction, maintenance, and turnaround activities. Responsibilities Lead and manage safety programs in refinery, heavy industrial, and power projects. Oversee capital construction, maintenance, and turnaround activities with a focus on safety. Ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory safety standards. Promote a proactive safety culture focusing on incident prevention, workforce engagement, and continuous improvement. Conduct safety audits and manage workers' compensation processes. Perform safety program oversight and ensure regulatory compliance. Conduct training and incident investigation using root cause analysis. Essential Skills 10-12 years of industrial or construction safety experience with supervisory responsibility. 12+ years of industrial/construction safety experience in lieu of a degree. Experience with workers' compensation, regulatory compliance, safety auditing, and safety program oversight. Training and experience in Incident Investigation/Root Cause Analysis. Proficiency in Construction Safety and OSHA standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in refinery construction and safety training. Work Environment The role is primarily office-based at the St. Louis, MO office, with required site visits for incidents and client visits. It involves ensuring field operations are in full compliance with safety standards, promoting a culture of safety, and engaging with the workforce to prevent incidents. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
