The Role:
Inside Chamber Tender (Multiplace HBOT) As an Inside Chamber Tender, you are a calm, steady presence inside the chamber. You are entrusted with patient safety, comfort, communication, and environmental awareness throughout every phase of treatment. This role requires technical discipline, emotional intelligence, situational awareness, and a servant's heart. Core Responsibilities (This role is highly trained, safety-critical, and purpose-driven) Before the Dive Prepare and organize the chamber environment Assist patients with hood/mask fitting, positioning, and comfort Educate patients on expectations, safety signals, and communication During Compression & Treatment Monitor patients continuously for comfort, anxiety, and physiological changes Coach patients through equalization and breathing protocols Maintain constant communication with the Console Operator Observe for signs of oxygen toxicity, distress, or emergent conditions During Decompression & Exit Provide calm reassurance and patient guidance Assist with safe unloading and post-treatment observation Support documentation and chamber reset People First (PF) Self‑
Assessment:
Document 2-3 sentences on how the dive met PF standards (dignity, calm communication, stewardship, and patient advocacy)
  • including one strength, one improvement, and any follow‑up action needed. Emergency Readiness Serve as the primary in-chamber responder during emergencies Execute fire, medical, or decompression protocols without panic (Full duties and expectations are defined in the Inside Tender Safety Policy & Procedure) Training, Development & Mastery We do not place people into chambers
