WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
The EHS Manager serves as a leader who champions the company's EHS vision in alignment with Vision, Mission, Values and Objectives. This role drives organizational excellence through proactive risk management, regulatory stewardship, and cultural transformation around safety and environmental sustainability. The EHS Manager operates as both a technical authority and change agent, integrating EHS priorities into business planning, operational excellence initiatives, and long-term capital investment strategies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Serve as a key member of the plant leadership team, providing strategic input on capital investments, process improvements, and organizational changes through an EHS lens Lead the integration of EHS metrics into plant KPIs and business scorecards, ensuring safety and environmental performance are viewed as critical business outcomes Influence budget planning by identifying EHS investments that drive efficiency, reduce risk exposure, and enhance regulatory positioning Lead culture change initiatives that embed safety accountability at all levels Develop and mentor EHS professionals through career development programs, succession planning, and competency-based training aligned with BU progression pathways Chair the Safety Committee and transform it into a strategic decision-making body Serve as the EHS representative in Production Meetings, bringing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to operational discussions Build EHS capability across the organization by coaching middle management to own safety leadership within their areas of responsibility Maintain comprehensive oversight of all regulatory compliance obligations, demonstrating subject matter expertise across OSHA, EPA, and applicable state/local requirements Develop and manage the EHS Compliance Calendar as a strategic planning tool, ensuring proactive rather than reactive compliance management Ensure reporting of all TF and SIP events, analyzing trends and leading indicators to drive predictive risk management Predictive analytics capabilities to identify risks before incidents occur Lead Pillar toward sustained L4 performance through systematic process improvementsPROBLEM-SOLVING

KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES (SKILLS & ABILITIES): Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field 7+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments Demonstrated leadership experience managing EHS programs and personnelPHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work an average of 40 hours per week, speak clearly so others understand, vision acuity to see details within a few feet of an observer, accepting of criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations, sensitivity to other's needs, positive demeanor, and model change management for the business. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to work with each department throughout the site to improve various processes. Ability to wear all required PPE, including a respirator, if one is required in an area. Ability to meet varying work schedules when required or requested by manager. Must be able to meet deadlines with small windows of opportunity, from time to time. Must be alert and engaged, with appropriate sense of urgency relative to work assignments.WORK/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present inside plant areas. Manufacturing processes involve granules, sand, fiberglass, asphalt coating, crushed rock, and polypropylene. Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as forklifts, buggies, genie booms and industrial sweepers travel throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas.LEGAL STATEMENT
