Monday-Friday 8-10 Hour Days 40-50 Hours Per Week Weekends as Needed Project Scope The Owner's Representative Safety Manager will serve as the on-site safety authority representing ownership across multiple active construction and infrastructure projects. This role will oversee contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and client-specific safety standards. Projects include architectural facility renovations, equipment upgrades and replacements, boilers, HVAC systems, plant air, water, waste systems, mechanical installations, and electrical infrastructure improvements. The facility maintains approximately 5-10 active construction projects at any given time, with an additional 10-15 projects in planning and design phases. Project scopes range from minor facility modifications to major infrastructure and production equipment additions Qualifications Must have: Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field 10+ years of construction safety experience within commercial, industrial, or large-scale project environments Previous Owner's Representative construction safety experience OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach certificationPreferred Certifications:
BCSP:
CHST (Construction HealthSafety Technician) OR CSP (Certified Safety Professional) Key Responsibilities Serve as the owner's on-site safety representative, ensuring all contractors meet client safety expectations Conduct project safety inspections, audits, and field observations with a strong visible presence Monitor and enforce OSHA compliance and client-specific safety standards Review and validate AHAs/JHAs, permits, and high-risk work activities Upload and manage safety documentation within Procore and client reporting systems Prepare and submit daily safety reports, metrics, and observations to ownership Track workforce safety compliance, trends, and leading indicators Maintain safety logs, incident records, and compliance documentation Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions Enforce fall protection standards (CRITICAL priority) and monitor other high-risk scopes Provide safety training, coaching, and mentorship to contractor teams Monitor jobsite activities and proactively address unsafe behaviors and conditions Review contractor safety documentation and manage safety-related correspondence Participate in coordination meetings and provide safety leadership insights to stakeholders Support and help develop, implement, and continuously improve the site safety programSkillsKnowledge Skills:
Excellent communication and high-level stakeholder engagement abilities Strong public speaking skills with the ability to influence field and leadership teams Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and digital safety platforms (Procore preferred) Strong organizational, reporting, and multitasking capabilities Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with ownership objectives Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive project informationKnowledge:
