30-Hour Construction Full Job Description CL Construction is hiring a Safety Officer to lead and strengthen our safety program across all divisions. This role is perfect for a hands-on safety professional who thrives in the field, conducting job site inspections, engaging crews, and ensuring every team member goes home safely each day. You'll not only develop and oversee safety programs but also serve as an on-site safety professional at customer job sites, providing direct support, identifying risks in real time, and ensuring compliance with both CL Construction and customer safety standards. What You'll Do Lead CL Construction's safety program and promote a proactive, zero-incident culture. Serve as the on-site safety representative at customer locations, conducting safety walks, job hazard analyses, and compliance checks. Identify potential risks and implement innovative, practical solutions to prevent incidents. Conduct frequent job site inspections and provide clear, actionable recommendations. Lead monthly safety trainings and weekly toolbox talks that engage and empower employees. Partner with supervisors during pre-job planning to ensure potential risks are identified and mitigated. Maintain compliance documentation in ISNet, Avetta, Great Plains Health and Safety, and other platforms. Collaborate with leadership to continually refine and improve company safety policies. Foster a culture of accountability and awareness where safety is everyone's responsibility. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field (preferred). 4+ years of construction safety experience, with strong knowledge of OSHA standards. Prior experience acting as an on-site safety professional at industrial or construction job sites preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. OSHA 30-Hour certification required; CSP or CHST preferred. Skilled in safety compliance platforms (ISNet, Avetta, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to influence and educate at all levels.
