Job Description

Company Overview SONS Marine & Industrial Services is a project support company dedicated to providing service heavy industry sectors. Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our safety initiatives across various operations. This vital role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs that promote a safe working environment for all employees. The ideal candidate will be passionate about occupational health and safety, possess strong leadership skills, and have a deep understanding of industry regulations and best practices. Duties Develop, implement, and oversee EHS policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure workplace safety standards are met. Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Coordinate safety training sessions on topics such as first aid, CPR, OSHA compliance, workers' compensation law, and occupational health. Maintain accurate safety documentation including incident reports, inspection logs, training records, and report writing. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to emissions, waste management, and hazardous materials handling. Promote a culture of safety awareness through ongoing training & development initiatives and employee engagement activities. Experience Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial environments with a strong understanding of OSHA standards and EPA regulations. Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop effective corrective action plans. Experience with workers' compensation law processes and reporting requirements. Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, OSHA 30-Hour/500-Hour Training preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear reports and deliver engaging training sessions.
