Fleet Safety Supervisor Confidential Passaic, NJ Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $85,000 a year 1 hour ago Qualifications Incident management Safety regulations Employee orientation Continuous improvement Safety audits for hazard identification Full Job Description The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting and enforcing the Company's safety programs and ensuring compliance with all applicable safety regulations and policies. This position oversees day-to-day safety activities, conducts training and inspections, investigates incidents, and works closely with employees and management to maintain a safe work environment. The Safety Supervisor promotes a culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Hours:
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday Through Friday. Weekly Pay with benefits
Job Description:
Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with Company safety policies and procedures. Conduct routine workplace, terminal, yard, and vehicle safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety programs and initiatives. Conduct employee safety orientations and ongoing safety training programs. Observe work practices and coach employees on safe operating procedures and regulatory requirements. Investigate workplace injuries, vehicle accidents, property damage incidents, and near-miss events; document findings and recommend corrective actions. Maintain accurate safety records, reports, training logs, and incident documentation. Manage all FMCSA requirements for our open-deck drivers, including Hours of Service (HOS), Driver Qualification (DQ) files, and Vehicle Maintenance logs. Assist in administering the Company's drug and alcohol testing programs, including post-accident and reasonable suspicion procedures. Participate in accident review meetings and safety committee meetings. Track and report safety performance metrics and trends. Follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely completion. Respond promptly to safety concerns raised by employees or management. Assist with regulatory audits, inspections, and compliance reviews. Collaborate with supervisors and department managers to address safety issues and improve operational practices.

$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
