Fleet Manager / Safety Officer

We are seeking a talented and experienced professional to oversee our transportation operations and lead a team of drivers and supervisors. If you have a CDL License, a proven track record in managing fleets, and possess exceptional problem-solving, leadership, scheduling, and dispatch skills, this opportunity is for you!

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of our transportation fleet in partnership with Amazon AFP.
• Lead and supervise a team of drivers and supervisors, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Fleet are sleep cab Diesel
• Develop and implement effective strategies for fleet optimization, driver scheduling, and route planning.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
• Resolve any operational issues or challenges that arise, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and Amazon AFP to maintain a strong partnership and achieve mutual objectives.
• Monitor and analyze fleet performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations for drivers and provide constructive feedback for their growth.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and unity, productivity, and employee engagement.
• You will be working hybrid in a beautiful office space in Iselin NJ and at the yard in person in Woodbridge NJ (apx.

10 mins from the office).

Requirements:

• Valid CDL License.
• Bachelor's degree in business operations or logistics preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven experience in fleet management, preferably within a similar industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Proficiency in scheduling and dispatching to ensure efficient driver allocation and on-time deliveries.
• Familiarity with transportation regulations and safety protocols.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
