Job Description:
The Chemical Safety Manager will act as the Company's Chemical Hygiene Officer and be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's chemical safety programs as well as other safety policies and procedures, workplace inspections, regulatory compliance. The Manager will coordinate evaluation of new processes, organize weekly safety meetings, and collaborate with all Operations team members on continuous improvements. The ideal candidate will have a background and extensive knowledge in safety standards and chemistry. The role requires strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. UbiQD is a rapidly growing company, and applicants should be excited about working in a dynamic and high energy environment where individuals are expected to shoulder broad responsibilities and sometimes work independently. Job Requirements Degree in Chemistry, Health and Safety, Environmental Health or a related field Residence in or relocation to Los Alamos, NM (or surrounding areas, within 50 miles) Three years of related industry work experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with chemical safety practices and standards for laboratory and industrial settings Proficiency with regulatory compliance affairs Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Eligibility to work in the USA and over the age of 18 Desired Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Office Ability to lift 40lbs and stand for periods of time Analytical and management skills Previous safety officer or chemical hygiene officer experience, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, or similar.
