Site Safety Manager

ACCO Engineered Systems is hiring Site Safety Managers to support large‑scale data center construction projects in the Reno/Sparks area. This is a long‑term, field‑based role focused on promoting a strong safety culture across complex commercial and industrial job sites. You will partner closely with project teams, subcontractors, and leadership to ensure compliance, proactive hazard prevention, and a coaching‑first safety environment. This is not a "safety cop" role — ACCO values professionals who lead through mentorship, communication, and collaboration .

Fortis) What You'll Do (Day‑to‑Day) Be onsite 5 days per week supporting active construction operations Conduct frequent site walks and hazard identification Perform safety inspections, audits, and job hazard analyses (JHAs) Ensure compliance with

OSHA, NFPA

70E, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) standards Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and drive corrective actions Coach and mentor field teams to build a proactive safety culture Facilitate and track required safety training Stop work immediately when unsafe conditions are identified Manage subcontractor safety program execution and coordination Maintain accurate safety documentation and records Partner with project leadership as the on‑site safety advisor Must‑Have Qualifications 5+ years of site safety management experience in commercial or industrial construction Experience managing or mentoring safety coordinators/technicians

OSHA 510

required (OSHA 500 strongly preferred) Strong working knowledge of:

NFPA 70E

Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Experience with incident reporting and job hazard analysis Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, PDF editors, Smartsheet, Box, or similar platforms Strong communication skills and a coaching‑first mindset Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have BCSP certifications strongly preferred: CHST, CSP, SMP, SMS, or STSC Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field Mechanical contractor experience (HVAC strongly preferred) Data center construction experience
