Role Overview FujiSan Franchising Corp is a premier national provider of on-site, hand-crafted sushi and Asian-inspired culinary concepts. Partnering with major supermarkets, warehouse clubs, and corporate dining facilities, we view sushi-making as a true art form. We are seeking a Franchise Support Manager to lead operations, drive top-line sales growth, and maintain exceptional retail partner relationships across Puerto Rico. This is a field-based role requiring a high presence in the market to audit, coach, and support our franchise partners. Key Requirements (Strictly Required) To be considered for this role, candidates must possess: Food Management Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a food service, restaurant, or culinary environment. Multi-Unit Management Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience overseeing multiple food service locations or franchise units. Travel Flexibility:
Ability and willingness to travel regionally 50%-75% of the time ("on the road" visiting locations). Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's or Culinary Degree is highly preferred). Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. English fluency , including ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Core Responsibilities Drive Territory Sales:
Focus on growing same-store sales by coaching franchisees on proper product mix, eye-catching visual displays, and active guest sampling. Operational Audits:
Conduct regular field visits and structured store audits to ensure full contract compliance, high quality controls, and proper raw material sourcing. Partner Relations:
Act as the primary corporate liaison to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with local supermarket and club store managers. Food Safety Compliance:
Verify that all locations meet strict government regulations, health department permits, business licenses, and HAACP food safety protocols. Culinary & Standards Training:
Provide hands-on training to both new and existing sushi chefs on standard operating procedures, portion control, and new product rollouts. Preferred Skills & Certifications Cuisine Background:
Prior experience in multi-unit concepts featuring Asian (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese) or Western hot/cold food formats is strongly preferred. Hands-on Skill:
Past experience working as a sushi chef is a major asset. Certifications:
Active ServSafe certification (or equivalent local food handler permit) is highly preferred. Professional Attributes:
