The client for this project is the NYS Office of General Services (OGS).

Responsibilities:

Onsite inspection, site-specific safety plan review, and technical safety assistance for client's project(s). Ensure safety compliance, including creating and approving site-specific safety plans. Ensure all local, state, and building code safety requirements and all applicable OSHA regulations are followed. Conduct safety stand-downs and manage emergencies. Allocate resources for assigned projects. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors. Prepare safety presentations. Research additional safety and continuing education opportunities. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and client. Ensure local, state, OSHA regulations, and safety standards are enforced. Author and perform root cause analysis, when required.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction project safety management. Current on all necessary safety training and certifications. Background in public agency, institutional, and/or commercial construction projects preferred. Familiarity with applicable local, state, OSHA, and building code safety requirements. Experience conducting safety audits, stand-downs, incident investigations, and root cause analysis. Experience preparing safety reports, presentations, and compliance documentation. Experience developing, reviewing, and enforcing Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs).
