If selected, DAY ONE you are this company's employee!•This opportunity is ideal for an experienced construction Safety Manager ready to take the next step into a broader leadership role with multi-division oversight, increased visibility, and long-term growth potential. The Safety Director - is responsible for driving safety culture, regulatory compliance, training initiatives, risk reduction, and continuous improvement efforts across the organization.Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee safety operations across commercial construction projects, fabrication shops, and multiple divisions throughout Ohio and additional regional locations. Manage and mentor Safety department personnel, including Safety Specialists and Safety Coordinators. Promote and strengthen a proactive safety culture through coaching, training, field engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee inspections, audits, incident investigations, and corrective action initiatives. Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. MaintainOSHA/MSHA
logs, documentation, reporting, and regulatory records. Support project teams through pre-planning, critical task analysis, safety meetings, and ongoing field support. Partner with leadership and field operations teams to support safety initiatives, compliance, and risk management efforts. Manage safety prequalification processes including ISNetworld and Avetta compliance requirements. Assist with workers compensation, return-to-work coordination, and loss prevention initiatives. Participate in industry associations and external safety organizations to support continuous improvement and industry best practices. Travel periodically to regional project locations and active jobsites as needed.Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field preferred. 10+ years of commercial construction or industrial safety experience required. Prior leadership experience managing safety personnel and multi-site operations required. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and incident investigation processes. Experience developing and delivering safety training programs required. Ability to communicate effectively with both field personnel and executive leadership teams. Strong coaching, mentoring, leadership, and relationship-building abilities. Experience with safety reporting platforms, documentation systems, and compliance tracking. BCSP certification preferred.OSHA 500
certification preferred. Valid driver's license required. Ability to travel periodically to regional project locations. Preferred or Nice toHave:
• Experience within commercial construction, self-perform construction, or large subcontractor environments. Multi-division or multi-state safety oversight experience.
