50-60 Hours Per Week | Monday-Saturday | 5:00 AM - 4:00 PM Possible Sundays Depending on Project Needs Why This Opportunity? Join a roofing contractor supporting a major roofing replacement project involving custom sheet metal fabrication and installation, along with complete tear-off and replacement of existing roofing systems. This role offers the opportunity to provide hands-on safety leadership while supporting roofing crews performing elevated work, crane-assisted material handling, and complex roofing operations in an active industrial environment. Required Qualifications
OSHA 510
Certification 5+ years of construction safety management experience in a lead role Roofing construction experience required Experience with crane and rigging safety procedures Pick Plan and Signal Person experience Preferred Qualifications Commercial or industrial roofing experience Experience supporting manufacturing or active facility construction projects Procore experience CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential What You'll Be Doing Maintain a full-time field presence with roofing crews Monitor OSHA compliance and project safety requirements Enforce fall protection requirements and elevated work procedures Ensure compliance with site-specific safety standards Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments Complete daily safety reports and documentation Upload safety documentation and compliance records into Procore Maintain safety logs and project compliance records Track workforce training, certifications, and safety compliance Monitor crane and rigging activities, including lift planning and signal person operations Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation Promote a positive safety culture across the project Technical Knowledge Candidates should have working knowledge of: OSHA Construction Standards Roofing Construction Safety Fall ProtectionLeading Edge Work Roofing Tear-OffReplacement Activities Custom Sheet Metal FabricationInstallation CraneRigging Operations Pick PlansSignal Person Procedures Aerial LiftsMEWPs Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Development Incident InvestigationRoot Cause Analysis Contractor Safety Management Construction Risk AssessmentMitigation Safety DocumentationProcore Management What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate is a highly visible, field-focused safety professional who can maintain strong relationships with craft personnel and project leadership, enforce critical fall protection requirements, support safe crane operations, maintain accurate documentation, and proactively identify risks before incidents occur.
