Who You Are The ideal Regional EHS Manager is a proactive, strategic safety leader with deep expertise in environmental compliance, occupational health, and regulatory standards. You are a self‑starter who thrives across multiple locations, partners effectively with plant and corporate leadership, and drives consistent, high‑impact EHS performance across the organization. What You ll Do As a Regional EHS Manager , you will partner closely with the Director of EHS to develop, implement, and oversee environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple Mennel locations. You ll serve as a regional subject matter expert, ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the development, implementation, and oversight of EHS programs, policies, and initiatives across multiple locations Ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, DHS, NFPA, FMCSA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations Evaluating facilities to identify risks, non-compliance issues, and improvement opportunities Driving region-wide initiatives to strengthen EHS compliance and performance Serving as a subject matter expert across key EHS programs (RMP, PSM, Air, Water, Waste, Industrial Hygiene, DOT, etc.) Partnering with site leadership to implement and sustain EHS programs and procedures Conducting EHS training and coaching employees and leadership teams Investigating incidents, ensuring accurate reporting, and coordinating corrective actions Managing hazardous and universal waste processes across locations Maintaining environmental permits across multiple sites (RMP, Air, NPDES, SPCC, and others) Acting as a liaison between Mennel and regulatory agencies Leading development and standardization of EHS policies aligned with modern management systems Ensuring facilities maintain an everyday audit-ready condition Supervising site EHS personnel and supporting their development Assisting the Director of EHS with strategic initiatives and cross-functional priorities What We re Looking For Bachelor s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field required (or Bachelor s degree + 5+ years of EHS experience) Minimum of 5 years of progressive EHS, safety, or environmental management experience Strong working knowledge of regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and EHS programs Professional certifications preferred (ASP, CSP, COSS, CIH, CHMM) or ability to obtain within 12-24 months Experience supporting multiple sites or regional operations preferred Strong technical writing, presentation, and communication skills Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS-related systems/tools Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% Why Join Mennel?
