Account Manager

  • Full-time Account Manager to take ownership of growing our inspection, testing, and maintenance and repair business.
This position manages our recurring service relationships, sells new ITM contracts, and addresses deficiencies our inspectors identify becomes scheduled repair work — quickly, and professionally. The right person will think of themselves as both a salesperson and an facilitator: someone who can build customer relationships and drive the operational follow-through that turns those relationships into completed work. Working directly with the owner and the division managers, learning our pricing methodology and contributing to contract and customer decisions as you develop in the role. Manage existing ITM customer relationships across our fire alarm, sprinkler, fire extinguisher, suppression, and backflow service lines Develop new ITM business — outbound prospecting, responding to inbound inquiries, building referral relationships, and converting one-time customers into ongoing service relationships Price ITM contracts and renewals using our pricing methodology (training provided; the model is documented) Own the deficiency-to-repair workflow: making sure findings from inspections become quoted, scheduled, and completed work Coordinate with scheduling and operations to deliver what we've sold Track the metrics that matter — pipeline, close rate, deficiency conversion, customer retention, contract value Bring operational improvement ideas forward for discussion Represent the company professionally with customers, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), and partner organizations
Required:
Sales or account management experience, ideally in a service or technical industry Comfort with numbers — pricing, margins, contract value, basic P&L concepts Responsiveness…Urgency is the speed needed for when providing life safety. Strong written and verbal communication Organized and self-directed; this role manages a pipeline and a workflow without daily supervision Comfortable using technology — CRM, spreadsheets, scheduling software, basic reporting tools Valid Ohio driver's license and clean driving record Willing to learn the technical side of fire and life safety enough to talk credibly with customers and AHJs Strongly preferred: Background in fire and life safety, fire protection, building systems, HVAC, or a related technical serviceindustry Experience selling recurring service contracts (inspection, maintenance, monitoring) Familiarity with NFPA standards, AHJ relationships, or Ohio fire codeWe'll consider candidates without industry experience if they bring strong sales fundamentals, technicalaptitude, and genuine interest in learning the business. We can teach fire protection.
