Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Safety Manager and become a pivotal force in fostering a safe, compliant, and health-conscious work environment. In this energetic role, you will lead safety initiatives across manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations. Your expertise will drive proactive safety practices, reduce risks, and promote a culture of continuous improvement in occupational health and workers' compensation law compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on employee well-being while supporting operational excellence. Duties Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs tailored to manufacturing environments, emphasizing OSHA and EPA compliance. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions promptly. Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence. Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions, including CPR, first aid, OSHA standards, and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) best practices for all staff. Maintain detailed safety documentation such as incident reports, training records, inspection logs, and compliance reports. Stay current on evolving regulations related to occupational health, workers' compensation law, and environmental standards; advise management accordingly. Foster a safety-first culture by promoting awareness campaigns, conducting drills, and encouraging employee engagement in safety initiatives. Requirements Proven experience in manufacturing safety management or a similar role with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and EPA standards. Safety Degree preferred. Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as OSHA 30-hour or 40-hour training are highly preferred. Knowledge of workers' compensation law and experience handling related reporting processes. Strong skills in report writing, documentation, and root cause analysis to support incident investigations and compliance audits. Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver engaging training sessions and foster collaboration across teams. Demonstrated ability to develop safety programs that promote occupational health while ensuring regulatory adherence.
