Job Description

Description:
As the EHS Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring our facilities are in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, and our employees are working in a safe and healthy environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Develop and implement health and safety programs to meet regulatory requirements and company standards. Conduct regular workplace health and safety assessments and make recommendations for improvement. Manage the company's hazardous waste program, including collection, storage, transportation, and disposal. Maintain compliance records and help prepare reports for DEP/EPA permitting requirements. Monitor wastewater treatment sampling Monitor and ensure compliance in all facets related to air and water permit. Act as liaison between Brightsmith and EPA/DEP Work closely with environmental consultants (in person 1 every other week) to prepare compliance documents Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. Provide training and education on health and safety policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records of all health and safety activities, including training records and accident reports. Stay up-to-date on changes in health and safety regulations and ensure the company is in compliance. Lead the company's emergency response team and develop emergency response plans. Lead each safety committee for all locations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science,Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification Experience in a safety role within manufacturing, construction, or similar industries In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in safety management software Bachelor's degree in environmental health, safety, or related field. 5+ years of experience in environmental health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification is preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
