Apr 20, 2026 FDRsafety is seeking a Director of Safety to provide enterprise-wide leadership across a multi-division construction organization near Harrisburg, PA. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining a comprehensive safety and risk management program that aligns with regulatory requirements, client expectations, and operational goals. This role serves as a key partner to executive leadership and field operations, driving a proactive safety culture while supporting consistency across diverse projects and business units. Key Responsibilities Safety Leadership & Culture Lead and promote a proactive, solutions-focused safety culture across the organization
Define and communicate safety vision, goals, and strategies enterprise-wide
Partner with operations and HR to address safety trends, workforce issues, and return-to-work programs
Support and guide safety representatives across multiple divisions Field Presence & Jobsite Oversight Coordinate audits, inspections, and jobsite visits across active projects
Ensure safety violations are documented and corrective actions are implemented
Support preconstruction safety planning and project kickoffs
Maintain visible engagement with field teams and leadership Policies, Procedures & Training Maintain and update safety programs in alignment with OSHA and industry standards
Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and safe work practices
Oversee safety training programs (OSHA 10/30, CPR, First Aid, etc.)
Create tiered training initiatives for leadership, field teams, and subcontractors Incident & Risk Management Lead investigations into incidents, near-misses, and complaints
Perform root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are executed
Serve as the primary contact during OSHA inspections
Identify and mitigate operational and reputational risks Compliance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Maintain OSHA logs, audit records, and compliance documentation
Analyze safety metrics and identify trends for improvement
Recommend investments in training, equipment, and safety initiatives
Drive continuous improvement across safety programs Qualifications Required 7-10+ years of safety leadership experience in construction environments
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards
Proven ability to lead safety programs across multiple divisions or projects
CSP, CHST, ASP, or equivalent certification
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills Preferred Bachelor's degree in Safety, Construction Management, or related field
Experience in mid-sized construction organizations
Background in building and scaling safety culture initiatives
Experience with safety management systems (e.g., Procore, Predictive Solutions)
