  • Aerotek is hiring a Site Safety Superintendent with WEEKLY pay!
  • $40-$52/hr depending on experience!

  • Job Description
  • The Site Safety Superintendent will serve as the lead safety supervisor for a multi‑year rehabilitation project at a national cemetery.
This role oversees all on‑site safety operations, ensures strict compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, and acts as the designated Prime Contractor Site Safety and Health Officer for the project's duration, which is expected to last a minimum of three years.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Lead and oversee all safety operations on a commercial construction site for the duration of a multi‑year national cemetery rehabilitation project.
+ Serve as the designated Prime Contractor Site Safety and Health Officer and act as the primary point of contact for all site safety and health matters. + Ensure full compliance with 29 CFR 1926.16 and all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health requirements throughout the project. + Develop, implement, and maintain site‑specific safety plans, procedures, and policies in alignment with project specifications and regulatory standards. + Verify that all Quality Control and Health & Safety qualifications specified in project solicitation and specification documents are met and maintained. + Ensure adherence to Health & Safety qualifications for key personnel as outlined in project specifications (including Specification 01 35 26). + Provide ongoing safety training, coaching, and guidance to construction crews and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture. + Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to identify risks and implement corrective and preventive measures. + Supervise and support construction crews with a focus on safe work practices, proper use of equipment, and adherence to safety protocols. + Lead incident investigations, document findings, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of accidents or near misses.
  • Essential Skills
  • + Minimum of five (5) years of construction industry safety experience, or a minimum of three (3) years of construction industry safety experience if holding a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Construction Safety and Health Technician (CSHT) certification, or a safety and health degree from an accredited university or college.
+ Demonstrated capability, through training, experience, and qualifications, to ensure compliance with 29 CFR 1926.16 and other applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements. + Proven experience in commercial construction site safety supervision. + Experience supervising construction crews with a strong focus on safety performance and compliance. + Ability to meet Quality Control and Health & Safety qualifications as specified in project solicitation documents at the time of offer submission. + Ability to meet Health & Safety qualifications for key personnel as outlined in project specifications, including Specification 01 35 26, at the time of offer submission. + Qualification to be designated as the Prime Contractor Site Safety and Health Officer.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
+ Certified Construction Safety and Health Technician (CSHT) certification. + OSHA 500 certification. + OSHA 30 certification. + Safety or safety and health degree from an accredited university or college. + Previous construction experience in commercial projects. + Experience working on federal or government construction projects is a plus. + Experience in Our Client management is beneficial. + Experience providing safety training and conducting site safety orientations. + Ability to build effective working relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

You will operate within a structured safety‑focused setting that adheres to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as project‑specific specifications. Appropriate personal protective equipment and adherence to site safety protocols are required at all times.

  • This is a Contract position based out of Harrisburg, PA.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $52.88/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
