Thrilling roller coasters, action-packed Hershey Bears hockey games, thrilling live entertainment, and one-of-a-kind events are a day in the life of our team members. This position is responsible for assisting with the Food Safety and Systems Training Support of all of the Food and Beverage outlets on the Entertainment Complex (Hersheypark, ZooAmerica, Hersheypark Arena, Hersheypark Stadium, GIANT Center, and Hershey Theatre), to include the various operations of Culinary, Concessions, Catering, Restaurants, Cabanas, Suites, and Bar areas. This position will support the Safety Training programs, including activities that will ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, government regulations, and industry best practices including OSHA and HACCP. In alignment with the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager, this position will aid in safety control initiatives across the Entertainment Complex. Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position): Supervise and facilitate Food Safety initiatives in F&B operations for assigned area(s) of responsibility, including the digitization of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) process.
  • Assist in overseeing SmartSense and digital cooler temperature systems to support 24 hour basis monitoring and react to any opportunities or concerns.
  • Manage all food safety programs through regular training, inspections, and communications. Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory requirements while supporting Food Safety Manager in regulatory inspections, 3rd party inspections, and internal audits.
  • Assist in management of F&B Technology and digital recordkeeping to maintain each level of the digital HACCP program to identify potential food safety issues. Manage and maintain labeling system and product shelf life matrix.
  • Work closely with the F&B Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager, the Training Team, and Culinary to develop and maintain SOPs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of related experience. Industry Experience
  • Food & Beverage, Amusement Park Must have a valid Driver's License Completion of high school or GED Associate's degree
  • Culinary Arts, Environmental Health & Safety, Hospitality Management Relevant work experience can be substituted for education
  • 2 years Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience. Post-Employment
  • ServSafe Manager, ServSafe Allergen, and RAMP certifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time. Skilled in the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel and Word.
Job Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: Climbing Ladders Occasional (67%) Walking Constant (>67%) This job requires a good sense of vision (either corrected or uncorrected). Visual ability to operate moving equipment such as a car, truck, golf carts, etc. This job requires the visual ability to perform detailed work at close distances (computer screens, accounting ledgers, using measurement devices). The position is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
