Equally important is the ability to build rapport, partnerships, and a communication style that engenders confidence and trust with our clients. This role requires flexibility, excellent communication skills across a broad range of stakeholders, empathy, commitment, and dedication to delivering project outcomes that ensure workers go home safely every day. While the role includes significant administrative responsibilities, consistently modeling Jacobs' BeyondZero culture requires visible field leadership—where the work happens—and strong relationship building with the teams delivering it. If you're up for the challenge, we've been looking for someone just like you.- A professional HSE Certification and/or degree in Environmental, industrial hygiene, engineering or related field; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum of 5 years of construction HSE/EHS experience, including oversight and support of subcontractor safe work practices.
Certifications:
At least one required to advance in the hiring process (levels vary): OSHA 30 Hour Construction, OSHA 510, CHST, or CSP preferred- Working knowledge in applicable regulatory compliance, as well as all federal, state and local agencies requirements
- Demonstrated experience delivering safety training, toolbox talks, and employee coaching.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, including federal, state, and local agencies.
- Experience supporting and implementing company and client safety program elements at the field level.
- Proven experience conducting safety assessments and performance evaluations with large numbers of site workers and contractors.
Ideally You'll Have:
- Experience supporting construction projects, including regulated or mission critical environments.
- Experience collaborating with clients, design teams, and construction management to proactively integrate safety into project execution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by influence, supporting consistent safety culture across multi contractor project teams.
- Experience developing, implementing, reviewing, and maintaining safety training programs and documentation.
- Ability to review completed safety documentation and manage records for compliance and retention.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels and with external clients and vendors.
- Strong self direction and decision making skills when operating independently in familiar environments.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced, dynamic construction environment.
