Job Description:
Shirley Parsons is collaborating with a prominent manufacturing organization that aims to bring an EHS Manager onto its team. This person will be in charge of collaborating closely with leaders in operations, maintenance, and engineering to strengthen safe work practices, reduce risk, and advance ongoing improvements in both safety and environmental performance. This position will be apart of the senior leadership team and will be responsible for leading all environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs within the manufacturing facility.
The Role:
Develop, execute, and oversee EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure alignment with local, state, and federal requirements (OSHA, EPA, NFPA), along with internal corporate standards. Promotes adherence to all safety and environmental requirements, leads initiatives to minimize risk, and fosters a forward?thinking safety culture that supports the principles of the Lean Operating System. Reach high performance by embedding EHS processes, performance indicators, and safe work practices into the plant's everyday management activities. Strong grasp of regulatory obligations, paired with outstanding communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities, is critical for cultivating a forward?leaning safety culture across the entire facility.
The Candidate:
BS in Health and Safety, Environmental, Engineering, or related field is required. 5-7 years of EHS experience within the manufacturing industry. Management and leadership experience is a plus. A comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations-such as
OSHA, EPA
local compliance requirements-is essential. Strong problem solving skills and ability to communicate with every level of an organization.
