SCOPE OF POSITION
The Campus Safety & Security Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining safe, secure, and welcoming environments across Christ's Church and Christ's Church Academy. This role provides operational leadership for all campus security functions, including Security Host scheduling and development, law enforcement coordination, security administration, vendor management, emergency preparedness, and event security support. As a key partner to church and Academy leadership, the Campus Safety & Security Manager ensures that security systems, personnel, processes, and relationships are aligned to support ministry effectiveness while protecting people, facilities, and resources. This role serves as the primary liaison for local law enforcement, contracted security providers, alarm monitoring services, and other external safety partners. RELATIONSHIPS

Partner closely with pastors, ministry leaders, Academy administration, Facilities, Operations, and Information Technology teams to support daily operations and special events. Lead and Develop Security Teams:
Recruit, train, equip, and support Security Hosts and volunteers to serve with excellence, professionalism, and ministry focus. Serve as Law Enforcement Liaison:
Maintain strong working relationships with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and other public safety agencies while coordinating School Resource Officer coverage and event support. Manage External Partnerships:
Establish and maintain productive relationships with contracted security providers, alarm companies, surveillance vendors, access control vendors, and other security-related partners. PRIORITIES
Lead Security Operations:
Coordinate security coverage for weekend services, weekday ministries, Christ's Church Academy operations, and special events. Schedule and Develop Staff & Volunteer Security Teams:
Create and manage Security Hosts and Volunteer schedules while providing ongoing training, coaching, and development opportunities. Coordinate Law Enforcement Support:
Schedule and manage School Resource Officers and off-duty law enforcement personnel for Academy operations, church events, and special gatherings. Support Academy Safety Initiatives:
Partner with Academy leadership regarding traffic flow, emergency preparedness, crisis response planning, and campus safety procedures. Maintain Security Administration:
Oversee all security-related administrative functions, including: Staff and volunteer identification badges Building access credentials and key management Parking permits and parking administration Incident reporting and documentation Security records and compliance documentation Support Emergency Preparedness:
Assist with the development, implementation, communication, and training of emergency response and crisis management procedures. Provide Event Security Coordination:
Work with ministry leaders and event coordinators to ensure proper security planning and staffing for church and Academy events. Proactively Engage in All-Staff Activities:
Participate in required staff gatherings and provide support to ministry initiatives when needed. PROCESS & SYSTEMS
Manage Security Scheduling Systems:
Utilize approved scheduling platforms to coordinate Security Hosts, volunteers, and law enforcement coverage. Maintain Security Technologies:
Oversee the effective operation of surveillance systems, access control systems, alarm monitoring systems, emergency communication systems, and related technologies. Evaluate and Improve Security Practices:
Regularly assess security procedures, staffing models, and response protocols to identify opportunities for improvement. Observe Guidelines:
Ensure compliance with established Church, Academy, and regulatory safety and security standards. Administration:
Utilize Paycom, Rock, and the Office 365 suite of products, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and other approved systems. Provide Metrics and Reporting:
Complete all required dashboard reporting, incident reporting, budget tracking, and operational reporting in a timely fashion. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Practice a strict policy of confidentiality when dealing with church member information. Office environment with occasional remote support and off-site meetings with volunteers. May require physical activity such as lifting and transporting items up to 25 lbs. Occasional off-hours or weekend work may be required to support projects and events. Occasional travel to other locations or event venues may be required. KEY OUTCOMES

Summary The Campus Safety & Security Manager serves as the primary leader responsible for campus safety, physical security, and emergency preparedness. By overseeing security personnel, coordinating with law enforcement agencies, managing security vendors and systems, and implementing best-practice safety protocols, this role ensures Christ's Church and Christ's Church Academy maintain secure environments that support daily operations, special events, and long-term organizational resilience.
