We are seeking an organized and detail-driven EHS Manager to support risk reduction and compliance activities at our client"s aerospace composites manufacturing site. This role will focus on tracking, following up, and ensuring timely closure of actions related to observations, near misses, incidents, safety alerts, and compliance assessments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe work environment by driving action closure and reporting progress to EHS leadership.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a backlog of open Environmental, Health, and Safety actions, prioritizing based on risk and urgency
- Engage directly with action owners to drive timely follow-up and resolution
- Track and update statuses for actions related to observations, near misses, incidents, and compliance issues
- Develop and maintain weekly reports and metrics showing backlog status, action closure rates, and overall risk reduction progress
- Support administrative and coordination tasks required for action verification and closure
- Contribute to continuous improvement of EHS compliance processes and reporting tools
Required Qualifications:
- 1 or more years of experience supporting EHS risk assessments, safety compliance, or incident management systems
- Strong project coordination or project management skills, especially in tracking action items and follow-up activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work across departments and follow up with stakeholders
- Ability to manage and organize large datasets or action logs effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially
Excel and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment, particularly related to EHS or compliance roles
- Familiarity with safety audit tools, risk matrices, or compliance tracking systems
- Exposure to safety frameworks such as ISO 45001, OSHA, or equivalent standards This is a critical support role for a team focused on proactive safety culture, operational risk reduction, and compliance improvement.
