$117,250.00 - $156,329.99 About Us Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This position is located at the Permanente Plant in Cupertino, California. What You'll Be Doing Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of a comprehensive construction Site Safety & Health Plan. Champion safe work practices across all phases of major projects, including demolition, remediation, and site restoration. Serve as the primary point of contact for OSHA, MSHA, and other regulatory agencies. Oversee accurate safety documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping. Direct incident, near‑miss, and root-cause investigations to strengthen corrective actions. Collaborate with project leadership, contractors, and corporate safety teams to drive safety excellence. Support management of workers' compensation, automotive, and general liability processes. Provide guidance and oversight to site staff and contracted safety professionals. What Are We Looking For Minimum of 7 years of experience with CSP certification or equivalent; additional experience or qualifications may be considered in lieu of certification. Demonstrated capability to lead safety programs in heavy industrial or complex construction environments. Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and the ability to apply regulatory requirements effectively; familiarity with MSHA is beneficial. Ability to coordinate safety activities across multi‑year, multi‑contractor projects. Skilled in conducting investigations, hazard analyses, and safety audits. Competence in safety documentation, reporting, and regulatory communication. Work Environment This role involves regular standing, walking, and climbing, with occasional sitting, crawling, and work in confined spaces. The position requires the ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and across an active industrial project site in Cupertino, California. This is a full‑time, in‑person position and does not offer a hybrid work schedule. Very little off-site travel will be required.
