Job Description

Job Title EHS-Manager Location Greenwood, South Carolina, USA Lead environmental, health, and safety excellence at our Greenwood manufacturing site. This role offers the opportunity to drive compliance, shape a strong safety culture, and make a meaningful impact on operational performance and employee wellbeing. This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards. What you will get An agile career and dynamic working culture An inclusive and ethical workplace Competitive compensation that recognizes high performance Medical, dental and vision insurance What you will do Lead and manage the EHS function at the Greenwood site, including staffing, budgeting, and performance management Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations through audits, risk assessments, and investigations Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and training programs Monitor and improve site EHS performance, driving initiatives to reduce incidents, emissions, and waste Oversee emergency response and business continuity planning for the site Serve as the site expert on regulatory requirements and liaise with external agencies on permitting and compliance strategies Drive a strong safety culture through engagement, leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives Travel 10-15% What we are looking for Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline Minimum 5 years of EHS experience At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and audit processes Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and influencing site culture Ability to analyze hazards, assess chemical and material risks, and implement effective controls Professional certifications in EHS or related discipline are preferred Managerial experience preferred About Lonza At Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
