ASAP Relocation assistance is available Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager (EHS & manufacturing exp. req.) Description Our client, in chemical manufacturing, is looking for an EHS Manager to join their team in the Greater Nashville Area. Reporting to the Director of Safety & Compliance, you will help assess, design, and enhance EHS initiatives, driving a strong safety and compliance culture across the organization. This is a highly hands-on position that requires a significant presence on the production floor, partnering closely with operations, reinforcing safe behaviors, and actively supporting day-to-day activities. The ideal candidate has experience leading safety programs in a plant-based manufacturing environment, with a proven ability to conduct root cause analysis, manage incident investigations, and implement corrective actions. Success in this role will come from a collaborative, engaged approach and a willingness to be deeply involved in the operation rather than operating purely at a strategic level. Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager (EHS & manufacturing exp. req.) Responsibilities Develop safety programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations Evaluate and update policies and SOPs to reflect regulatory changes and best practices Provide leadership and guidance for training, environmental compliance, and safety Promote employee engagement through committees, recognition, and participation programs Design and deliver onboarding and refresher safety training Coach and mentor staff on safety best practices and initiatives Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments implementing corrective actions as needed Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and development of preventive measures Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive safety improvements Conduct behavior-based safety observations and provide actionable feedback Analyze safety metrics to identify high-risk areas and recommend preventive measures Drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance overall safety culture Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager (EHS & manufacturing exp. req.)
