Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Safety Technician to champion safety initiatives across our construction projects. In this vital role, you will oversee comprehensive safety programs that promote a secure work environment for all employees. Your expertise will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations while fostering a culture of continuous safety improvement. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on workplace safety and employee well-being.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular construction safety inspections, hazard assessments, and audits within construction environments to identify risks and implement corrective actions. Lead construction safety toolbox talks and development programs to educate staff on safe work practices, emergency response procedures, first aid, CPR, and OSHA compliance requirements. Investigate workplace incidents using root cause analysis techniques; prepare detailed report writing to document findings and recommend preventative measures. Collaborate with management to foster a safety-first culture that emphasizes proactive risk management and continuous improvement in EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) construction practices. Skills Strong knowledge of OSHA construction regulations. Certified in first aid, CPR, CSHO, OSHA 30, or OSHA 510, and emergency response procedures; experience conducting safety training & development programs. Excellent report writing skills for incident reports, safety audit documentation, and compliance records. Skilled in root cause analysis to identify underlying issues behind safety incidents or hazards. Ability to perform thorough construction safety inspections and hazard assessments with attention to detail. Effective communicator capable of engaging diverse teams in safety initiatives; adept at training employees on occupational health best practices. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive attitude toward continuous safety improvement.Pay:
