Job Description

The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. This role works closely with operations, project teams, and field leadership to minimize risk, prevent incidents, and promote safe work practices on all projects. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and enforce site safety programs across underground utility and heavy civil construction projects
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, TXDOT, municipal, and client safety requirements
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and new-hire orientations
  • Assist project teams with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), pre-task planning, and safe work planning
  • Maintain safety documentation, logs, reports, and compliance records
  • Serve as a safety resource for superintendents, foremen, and field personnel
  • Promote a proactive, team-oriented safety culture throughout the organization Qualifications
  • 3+ years of safety experience in underground utilities, heavy civil, or infrastructure construction
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
  • Experience supporting water, sewer, storm, or pipeline projects preferred
  • OSHA 30 required; CHST, CSP, or similar certifications a plus
  • Ability to work in active field environments and travel to multiple jobsites
  • Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills
