This vital role involves fostering a safety-first culture, managing risk, and maintaining a secure environment for all personnel. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of occupational health standards, construction management practices, and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment from start to finish of the project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead safety initiatives, collaborate with construction teams, and contribute to the successful and injury-free completion of projects. Duties Conduct comprehensive safety inspections across construction sites to identify hazards and ensure adherence to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards. Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety plans aligned with project requirements and compliance management protocols. Facilitate safety training sessions for workers and subcontractors, emphasizing risk management, OSHA regulations, and emergency procedures. Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near-misses, and inspections using construction management software. Collaborate with construction management teams to enforce safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and mitigate potential hazards proactively. Oversee workers' compensation processes in case of injuries, ensuring proper documentation and timely reporting. Act as the primary point of contact for safety-related communication with regulatory agencies and emergency responders. Requirements Proven experience in construction site safety management or as a Site Safety Representative within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NEC (National Electrical Code), workers' compensation procedures, and compliance management principles. Familiarity with construction management software tools used for safety tracking and reporting. Demonstrated ability to manage risk effectively through occupational health initiatives and hazard mitigation strategies. Excellent communication skills to train teams, conduct safety briefings, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders. Construction site experience is essential; familiarity with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) standards is highly desirable.
