Bonus based on performance Competitive salary Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Training & development Vision insurance We are seeking a Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager for a large manufacturing facility in Odessa, Texas. This position reports directly to the Director of Safety and is responsible for leading site safety and environmental programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture across the facility. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong presence on the production floor. If you are looking for an office-only position, this is not the job for you. The Senior EHS Manager will ensure compliance with regulations established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as well as applicable environmental regulations.
Note:
This position does not offer per diem or relocation assistance. Candidates must currently reside in or be able to commute from the Midland/Odessa area. Key Responsibilities Work closely with the Director of Safety to implement safety and environmental programs. Maintain a strong presence on the production floor, working directly with operations and employees. Ensure compliance with regulations established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Manage environmental compliance programs including hazardous waste management and regulatory reporting. Oversee Tier II reporting, RCRA compliance, EPCRA requirements, and coordination with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Monitor and manage stormwater compliance and monitoring programs. Manage Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance requirements. Conduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments. Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions. Provide training related to forklift operations, overhead cranes, and rigging safety. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments. Strong environmental compliance background. Experience with hazardous waste management, RCRA, EPCRA, and Tier II reporting. Experience working with TCEQ environmental compliance programs. Experience with stormwater monitoring and environmental reporting. Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) programs. Experience with overhead crane and rigging safety. Experience providing or managing forklift training programs. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM. Work Environment This role requires regular time on the production floor within an active manufacturing facility. Work includes exposure to heavy equipment, cranes, forklifts, and industrial machinery.
