The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing workplace hazards. This position requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety standards. Duties Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and company standards. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Provide training and development programs for employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions. Monitor workers' compensation claims and collaborate with management to manage return-to-work programs effectively. Stay updated on environmental regulations (EPA) and ensure compliance with occupational health standards. Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns within the organization. Foster a culture of safety through effective communication, training sessions, and employee engagement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in a safety supervisory role or similar position within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation law, EHS practices, and environmental compliance. Certification in CPR/First Aid is highly desirable. Proficient in report writing, data analysis, and root cause analysis methodologies. Excellent communication skills with the ability to train diverse groups effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work collaboratively across departments to promote a safe working environment.
