In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement comprehensive safety programs, ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement in occupational health and safety practices. Your leadership will empower teams to operate safely while maintaining operational excellence and environmental stewardship.
Job Description:
Create, manage and lead the deployment of C&W's EH&S programs across the US, to ensure safety is part of day-to-day operations at each site within the Portfolio Effectively communicate C&W's safety culture and operating philosophies Assist in the identification of possible losses; evaluate the risk in such loss exposure; develop and implement a plan to correct or prevent a loss; and audit the plan to ensure its effectiveness Maintain and update as needed SOP's for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize them in the day to day training Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected. Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements Review incidents which occur in the area of responsibility and conduct field audits, report and manage the corrective actions Support Workers Compensation (WC) claims tracking, investigation, and management process Liaise with WC Program Manager and benefits group on all aspects of injury management and rehabilitation Support compliance with all EH&S record keeping requirements, including corporate and regulatory compliance/program documentation, e.g., auditing, training, medical, and OSHA records Participate in site inspections and third-party audits to assure/verify regional compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations Develop, maintain, and ensure the online safety training platform meets industry standards and OSHA requirements Collaborate with other service lines and global EH&S to implement programs and initiatives employed across C&W Services Review Policies & Procedures process specific to EH&S, as well as support sites in preparation of their manuals for
Emergency Procedures Qualifications:
REQUIRED
: Bilingual in Spanish and English 5+ years' experience in Environmental Health and Safety in a Manufacturing or Facility Maintenance environment. NOT construction Safety Certification (CSP or CIH) preferred Demonstrable success in Systems Management across multiple accounts/sites Subject Matter Expertise in EHS and relevant US Standards Well versed in OH&S legislation and regulation Well-developed research and report writing skills Sound Investigative and Auditing skills supported by formal training
Pay:
$105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
