Full Job Description Responsibilities:

Ensures compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) laws and regulations. Develops new and creative methods to drive continuous improvement of HSE practices. Ensures all necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Responsible for developing and managing safety programs (business continuity, worker's compensation, general liability, Occupational Safety, etc.). Responsible for creating compliance tools to ensure Safety programs are adhered to and maintained in accordance with Corporate Risk Management & Safety compliance requirements. Works with business and operations units to develop effective HSE and ESG programs and policies as well as managing the development, execution and evaluation of all safety programs Consults on expense and capital projects that require operational safety oversight. Ensure the company EH&S management systems are aligned and delivering compliance with emerging regulations and corporate requirements Support Operations and Legal in regulatory requirements and incident management. Perform safety audits of company facilities, employees, and their work areas. Inspect safety equipment for proper working conditions. Manage medical surveillance program. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Complete annual OSHA incident reports (300, 300A and 301). Run an effective Near Miss program. Investigate employee injuries and manage the medical response as needed, including worker's compensation claims. Responsible for training, developing, and growing HSE talent and capability. Coordinates and participates in inspections including notifications, preparations, results, feedback, and correction of deficiencies Travel to field sites required for training, audits and other meetings

Experience and Skill Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Safety, Environmental, or other related discipline. Previous experience working for a waste and hazardous company. RCRA Spanish is a PLUS 10+ years of progressive experience in EH&S including knowledge of global EHS framework 5+ years of managerial experience. OSHA 30-hour Training Proficiency using Microsoft Office products. Must have the ability to communicate well with employees from all levels. Point of contact for federal, state, and local regulators and inspectors (OSHA, EPA, IDEM). Excellent written and oral communication skills, presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to drive change and build a performance culture Strong bias for action, a sense of urgency, and the ability to match critical and integrative thinking with the ability to drive results.
