Full Job Description Site Safety Manager Position Summary:
We are seeking a Site Safety Manager to lead and support safety initiatives on construction projects by fostering a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role is responsible for developing and implementing site-specific safety plans, conducting audits and investigations, monitoring jobsite conditions, and collaborating with project leadership, subcontractors, and field personnel to maintain a safe, compliant, and incident-free work environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with extensive knowledge of construction safety standards and a passion for protecting people and promoting operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Safety Plan and Safety Roadmap. Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations. Lead incident and injury investigations and implement effective corrective actions. Prepare and submit weekly safety reports, including Total Case Incident Reports. Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and audits. Monitor subcontractor safety compliance and address deficiencies. Facilitate and participate in weekly toolbox talks and safety meetings. Support safety training initiatives and promote a strong safety culture across project teams. Collaborate with project leadership and field personnel to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace hazards. Maintain accurate safety documentation and records.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
OSHA 500
Construction certification required. CPR/First Aid certification required (trainer certification preferred). Experience in construction safety and jobsite environments. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards, including NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. BCSP certification (CHST, ASP, CSP, or equivalent). Experience supporting large commercial or industrial construction projects. Experience delivering safety training and mentoring field personnel.
