Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Minimize the risk of job-related incidents and accidents; monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities; implement policies and procedures to promote occupational health and safety (OSHA) awareness. The Safety Professional should be well-versed in allOSHA 1926
Regulations, be focused on prevention, be diligent in working with leadership to improve the safety culture, and demonstrate attention to detail and sensitivity to potential dangers and other at-risk situations. Responsibilities- Provide active safety support to project leadership and field teams.
- Assisting various project leads in managing safety issues and helping individuals understand safety policies and procedures.
- Advise the company's leadership and the Regional Safety Manager on safety issues and compliance amongst construction projects and operations.
- Facilitate orientations and onboarding of new employees as needed.
- Implement through knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards, CFR 29, 1926, ensuring that the construction projects comply with standards and programs.
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvements, improvement opportunities, and new prevention measures.
- Investigate incidents or injuries to discover contributing factors and determine root causes to prevent recurrence and lessons learned.
- Initiate documentation for incidents/injuries/activities and develop solutions and corrective actions for management and leadership.
- Assist project company leadership with safety programs and support other field employees.
- Assist with aligning the company's safety and day-to-day health operations with the client's expectations and requirements.
- Prepare company-wide documents for high-potential, high-consequence scenarios and submit them to the Regional Safety Manager for prevention and recurrence prevention.
- Work closely with field personnel, team leads, management, and client personnel to resolve safety issues, reinforce safety policies, and manage safety performance.
- Recognize safety hazards and implement proper corrections in cooperation with project leadership teams.
- Creating and reviewing safety plans. Requirements Excellent self-starter who is motivated, confident, and with high ambition. Good understanding of risk tolerances associated with work activities. Advanced experience in writing and reviewing documents and reports.
- Extensive knowledge of safety incident investigation processes and creating reports.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA Construction guidelines and practices.
- Experience implementing state, federal, and regulatory OSHA requirements and company programs.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Excellence in conducting job hazard management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and advisory skills.
- Extensive knowledge of health and safety best practices, OSHA regulatory requirements, and other state and local requirements.
- Board of Certification credential designation (CSP, ASP, CHST, or OHST).
- A degree in safety management or a relevant field is preferred.
Pay:
$77,605.63 - $93,460.55 per yearBenefits:
