Job Description
Hylan has an opportunity for an experienced safety manager in our Mid-Atlantic Region. Our mission is to connect and power the future as we build the nation's communications electrical, and smart-city infrastructure for our customers through our extraordinary talent We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, highly organized individual to provide safety support across multiple projects and operations. Key Functions
- Oversee all regional aspects of the Hylan Corporate Safety Program
- Provide safety support to operational leadership and project teams
- Conduct frequent safety inspections/audits of multiple job sites
- Deliver on-the-job training - weekly safety meetings, toolbox talks, and/or coaching
- Assist in developing Project-Specific Health & Safety Plans and Job Hazard Analyses
- Investigate all near misses, injuries, accidents and property damage
- Interact with project managers, supervisors and workers by conducting risk assessments, implementing preventive measures, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations including customer-specific requirements.
- Identify loss producing conditions and practices, recommending appropriate corrective action
- Continuous learning and collaboration with other Regional Safety Managers to help the organization keep up with emerging technology, regulations and best practices Desired Qualifications
- Must have 5+ years of practical experience overseeing construction safety programs and worksite safety practices (underground, electrical utility, and telecom, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in safety, Construction Management or a related field
- Appropriate training certifications
OSHA 10, OSHA 30, OSHA
500, etc.- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
- Display initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner. Able to follow verbal and written instructions with little supervision.
- Ability to identify problems; determine accuracy and relevance of information; use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and make recommendations
- Must be able to pass a background check and possess a valid driver's license
- Effective communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills, and a strong work ethic
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per yearBenefits:
