We're looking for an experienced and passionate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to lead our site's environmental, health, and safety strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives on building a strong safety culture, driving continuous improvement, and partnering with leaders across the business to protect our people, our environment, and our operations. You'll play a key leadership role in ensuring regulatory compliance while creating programs that make safety a core part of how we work every day. You'll work in a modern manufacturing facility alongside an engaged leadership team and collaborative colleagues who are committed to safety, continuous improvement, and supporting one another's success. Beyond the work, you'll find an energetic culture with employee engagement programs, volunteer opportunities, and a workplace where people genuinely enjoy being part of the team. Lead the development and execution of the site's annual Environmental, Health & Safety objectives and continuous improvement initiatives. Partner with site leadership to implement new EHS policies, programs, and regulatory requirements. Manage environmental permits and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance. Lead and maintain the site's
ISO 14001
Environmental Management System. Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections, and hazard analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions. Develop and deliver engaging EHS training programs for employees and leadership. Facilitate and lead the site's Safety Committee. Lead or support incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions. Track, analyze, and communicate key EHS performance metrics to site and regional leadership. Maintain required documentation, including OSHA logs, training records, inspections, permits, and compliance records. Partner closely with Human Resources to manage workers' compensation cases and support successful return-to-work programs. Manage the site's EHS budget and resources effectively. Build strong relationships with regulatory agencies, insurance providers, and external partners. Champion a proactive safety culture where every employee is empowered to contribute to a safe and healthy workplace.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field. Master's degree in related discipline and/or professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CIH, or equivalent a major plus. 5 + years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable environmental and safety regulations. Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and build relationships at all levels of an organization. Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills. Availability to primarily work first shift, with flexibility to support additional shifts as business needs require.
Pay:
$125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
