Sr. Product Safety and Quality Advisor

Duration:
12 Months Job Summary Client is seeking a Product Safety and Quality Advisor Senior to support the Innovation FSQ team focused on merchandising and consumer products. This role will lead supplier onboarding, product safety assessments, manufacturing quality evaluations, and commercialization readiness activities for merchandise categories such as toys, textiles, drinkware, accessories, and garments. The ideal candidate will have experience in product safety, merchandising quality, supplier management, and consumer product testing while working cross-functionally with R D, merchandising, and supplier partners. Key Responsibilities Lead onboarding and qualification of new suppliers and manufacturing sites. Conduct supplier risk assessments, audits, and manufacturing readiness evaluations. Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, and merchandise quality standards. Partner with R D and Merchandising teams to define material, process, and product qualification requirements. Support pilot runs, scale-ups, and first production activities. Evaluate manufacturing process capability including Cp/Cpk, validation activities, and control plans. Analyze supplier quality metrics, audit data, customer feedback, and regulatory concerns. Investigate and resolve product safety and consumer product quality issues. Coordinate product testing and supplier data collection activities. Serve as a subject matter expert for retail merchandise product safety and quality initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional and international supplier teams to deliver results within tight timelines. Required Skills & Experience 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Experience with:
Merchandise and consumer products Toys Textiles and garments Drinkware and accessories Product safety testing Supplier quality management Strong communication and collaboration skills. High attention to detail. Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Basic lab/testing experience.
Proficiency with:
Microsoft Office Suite Smartsheet Basic computer applications Preferred Qualifications BA degree preferred (not required). Experience with process improvement initiatives.
