Job Description

Safety Manager / Human Resources Coordinator Primary Responsibilities and Duties Maintain and administer the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, including but not limited to: Hazard Communication Program Site-Specific Safety Plans Hazard Assessments and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Drug and Alcohol Policy Fall Protection Program Safety policies and procedures Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits for commercial and residential roofing projects. Ensure all required safety training is conducted and documented. Develop and deliver employee safety training programs. Maintain OSHA 300, 300A, and related occupational injury and illness records. Coordinate and manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work processes. Manage employee safety certifications, licenses, and training records. Maintain safety-related documentation and regulatory compliance records. Develop and update company safety policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans. Conduct incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with OSHA, Oregon OSHA, Washington L&I, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Hire, onboard, and orient new employees. Maintain and organize employee personnel files. Assist with Human Resources functions, including employee documentation, corrective actions, and policy administration. Work collaboratively with field supervisors and management to promote and maintain a positive safety culture. Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and general computer applications. Strong organizational, recordkeeping, and documentation skills. Ability to research regulations and implement compliant safety programs. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred. Minimum Requirements Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to develop and deliver employee safety training. Experience maintaining OSHA records, workers' compensation files, and employee safety documentation. Preferred Experience Three to five years of construction safety management experience in commercial and residential roofing. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, Oregon OSHA, and Washington L&I requirements. Experience conducting jobsite safety inspections, hazard assessments, incident investigations, and employee safety training. Experience developing and implementing company safety programs, policies, and site-specific safety plans. Experience managing workers' compensation claims, OSHA recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance. Preferred Certifications OSHA 30-Hour Construction. OSHA Outreach Trainer (Construction)

  • Instructor Level. Forklift Operator Trainer Certification
  • Instructor Level. Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP/Man-Lift) Trainer Certification
  • Instructor Level. Lift Director Certification
  • trainer Level Rigging and signaling instructor.
First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Certification. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and certifications.
